It’s hard to argue our attention spans haven’t suffered because of the internet. Heraclitus thought the defining characteristic of the world was constant change, so he’d probably get a kick out of our societal evolution. Remember, he said we couldn’t step in the same river twice. Maybe that metaphor is a little flexible. Write a 53-word story about a stream.
